York-Durham Heritage Railway - Uxbridge Station

Uxbridge station is part of York-Durham Heritage Railway, that you can easily find on the map.
History of the railway states that it was opened in 1860. The only functional section remaining today is section between Uxbridge and Stouffville, open for recreational travels on summer weekends.
There are lots of charming train artifacts all around the station, free to walk around and enjoy

Once you head NE from the station, along the old tracks, after few hundred meters your walk out to the Trestle Bridge.

The rest of the tracks are converted into a beautiful, long Uxbridge Rail Trail, starting with John McCutcheon Way over Uxbridge Trestle Bridge and stretching all the way to Lindsey as part of Trans Canada Trail.
